There are many, many, many morons that would lay claim to the above title, but here is my nomination.
I was on my mage, and doing the Horseman. We zone in and the tank starts the event, then goes afk, and stands there for the rest of the fight, before miraculously coming back just as we killed him. Before I go further, I must compliment the heals and a ret pally who did the tanking.
So, here is this Warrior tank, who has already left a bad taste in my mouth. I then look him up on the armory and look at what I have found: Only two chants, one of which requires a level 35 or higher item. 3 missing gems and almost full S10 resil gear. Now, granted, I know all the shortcomings of the Armory, and this may just be his PvP set, but WoW-Heroes shows the same gear. For the purpose of the exercise, lets assume that *is* his PvP set. Still, there is no excuse, at all, for you to zone in to a holiday boss, then go afk, for the exact period of time of the fight. So, Unchartable of Cry me a River - Korgath, how appropriate, cry me a river that you have been nominated for the Ultimate Fail Tank.
Ouch!
ReplyDeleteehhh only problem is with the tank going afk a mage can tank that, way to undertuned he was probably a pvp player and wanted a fast que for it as long as it wasn't a troll or other type of heroic all good I say, but holiday instances will always be mage tankable
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't the tankability of the event, it was the cheek of starting the event, afking through it and expecting free loot. We didn't wipe, or come close, it was just a bad example of the worst kind of LFG moron
