Austral- where?

Blizzard are running a competition on Facebook where if you 'like' the Diablo III page, you can go into the running for a beta key.  Sounds good, I think, and proceed to sign up, or I would have, but it unkindly tells me that due to the fact that "Only residents of Italy, United Kingdom, Croatia, Mexico, United States, Bulgaria, Switzerland, France, Czech Republic, Taiwan, Belgium, Belarus, Luxembourg, Ukraine, Sweden, Russian Federation, Argentina, Finland, Ireland, Austria, Norway, Canada, Spain, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Serbia and Hungary are eligible to enter this Sweepstakes", I can't enter.

From their FAQ: Q. Why is my country unable to participate in the sweepstakes?
A. Unfortunately, some countries have laws or restrictions which prevent us from making contests available to their residents....

What absolute and total rubbish. Like Australia wouldn't let you make a contest!

Right, so I could live in the Ukraine, and that is a better place from a contest view than Australia? Seriously!

*sigh*

  1. It's most likely anti-lottery laws that prevent companies from holding such competitions. Do you really think Blizzard would deliberately exclude potential customers?
