Me and my big mouth ... and the nerfs

So here I was happily going on, with my oh-so-wonderful statement only yesterday that I had managed to avoid saying anything about the nerfs, and yet here I am, writing on exactly that. Me and my big mouth.

I don't mind the nerfs, really I don't, but I think there can be no argument that they are too much - and for supporting evidence I submit our guild raid last night.  Shannox, Beth, and Lord Rhy down in short order, which alone would make it one of our better single nights had it been pre nerf. Then onto Baleroc, where we one shot him, despite me having not seen the fight before. I had done research, got some power auras set up and had the general idea, but the theory is always different than the practice - except it wasn't, and it was easy.

With scant minutes to go in our raid time, we cleared the trash before da (not-so) liddle birdy, and then someone started it up. I had a vague idea as to what needed to happen but nothing really concrete, and our Pally tank had no idea at all.  Strats were handed out pretty much on the fly, and yet with a MT and MT healer not knowing the fight, with no extensive prep, and with a single attempt, we totally stomped her and had a clean one shot kill.

In a fight where the guild had not had a kill of any sort previously, with 1/5 of the raid (and maybe more) not knowing anything about what we needed to do, we roll in and roll out like it was content tiers back. Make it easier, by all means, we will definitely be able to progress more with the nerfs, and get better gear (which we will need as we wont be able to buy the next tier gear with VP) to prepare us for T13, but I really can't see that we needed *that* much of a hand.  It is the sort of difficulty I would expect appropriate for a pugged raid, not an organised guild group with vent.

I don't like to wipe dozens and dozens and dozens of times on a boss, but neither do I feel entitled to gear that easily.  Not cool, Blizz, Not cool.
